Yes, sir! You read that right. It’s about to go down! I’ve been talking about it on Twitter for a while – and now it is a reality. Where The Dogwood Blooms podcast launches on Wednesday!
How about that?! I can’t even believe it.
I recorded the first episode on Saturday. Candi Elson joined me to discuss the Highland Games and Clan Cochrane.
Candi was the perfect first guest! She is so sweet and so easy to talk to. Y’all are just gonna love her.
Two more episodes are scheduled to be recorded this week.
It feels like a dream.
When I started this blog, a podcast was never on my radar. I just wanted to celebrate life in my home state – and, hopefully, inspire others to do the same.
I had no clue if anyone would read along as I told ghost stories, shared histories, or traveled across the state for new adventures. I just knew I had a lot of useless knowledge about my home, and it would go to waste if I never shared it.
Here we are, over two years later – and I’ve connected with so many wonderful people. Y’all talk to me about things I’ve written, share family stories with me, and invite me to events to discuss life here in the Old North State.
Thank y’all for that. I read every email, incorporate most of the stories sent to me, and attend as many events as I can. It makes my heart happy to know that so many others love their North Carolina roots, too.
That’s why I decided to create the podcast – to document the stories of others.
So, if you want to get to know the Tar Heel State and its people a little bit better – or if you just want to reminisce – join me on Wednesdays!
Where the Dogwood Blooms podcast is available on Spotify and will be on Apple Podcasts soon!
